Interim results for 26 weeks ended 1 May 2004 - Correction

With reference to the announcement of its interim results made on 22 July 2004, Longmead Group plc wishes
to correct the earnings per share figure set out in the Consolidated Profit & Loss Account.  The earnings
per share for the 26 weeks ended 1 May 2004 should be 5.66p rather than 17.66p as stated in the
announcement.
