                 Oriel Resources Plc ("Oriel" or the "Company")
                              Exercise of Options
________________________________________________________________________________


Oriel Resources plc (AIM:ORI, TSX:ORL) announces that options over ordinary
shares of 1p each in the share capital of the Company under the Company's share
option scheme were exercised on 4 April 2008.


Details of the options exercised are as follows:

Number of options                        Exercise Price
    16,667                                   52p
    83,333                                   15p

Accordingly, application will be made for 100,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in
the Company, which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be
admitted to trading on AIM. The admission is expected to occur on or about 10
April 2008. Following the exercise of these options the total issued capital of
the Company will be 637,445,154 ordinary shares.
