The  Company was informed yesterday that on 9 April  1998
Silverslaggen  AB  acquired  200,000  of  the   Company's
ordinary  20p shares ("Ordinary Shares") which represents
3.2  per  cent.  of the Company's issued  Ordinary  Share
capital. Following this transaction Silverslaggen AB  has
a   beneficial   interest  of  200,000  Ordinary   Shares
representing  3.2  per  cent.  of  the  Company's  issued
Ordinary Share capital.
