Launches digital network for Westfield in Belfast
ScreenFX plc, which offers digital screen advertising in shopping centres across
the UK, today announces its first collaboration with the Westfield Group as it
launches its network in CastleCourt, Belfast's premier shopping centre.
Screen FX signed a long term agreement with Westfield Shoppingtowns Limited, the
largest shopping centre owner in the world by equity market capitalisation, in
June 2005. The agreement gave Screen FX the right to add seven further premium
malls into the Screen FX network, along with another 100 million potential
audience a year.
At CastleCourt, Screen FX's 'InfoPods' have been sited at strategic locations in
the malls for optimum visibility and have made a big impression on shoppers and
industry professionals alike. The design is bespoke for Westfield, having been
developed by ScreenFX's in-house design team, and will be rolled-out to other
Westfield centres across the UK, including: Merry Hill, the largest centre in
the West Midlands; Broadmarsh in Nottingham; Royal Victoria Place in Tunbridge
Wells; and The Friary Shopping Centre in Guildford.
Dave Clark, Chief Executive of Screen FX, commented:
"We are delighted that our network now includes Northern Ireland and Belfast's
premier shopping mall. This not only sees our strong relationship with
Westfield coming to fruition but also a big step being taken in our strategy of
building the leading screen advertising network in major UK shopping malls. The
addition of 100 million more shoppers to the ScreenFX audience signals to our
target customers, the major consumer brands, their advertising agencies and
their media buyers, that we continue to build significant critical mass."
Bill Moss, National Sales and Promotions Manager of Westfield said:
"We have been particularly impressed with the product, technology and service
solution offered by ScreenFX and are delighted to see the network spring to life
at CastleCourt. It adds significantly to the shopping experience and clearly
demonstrate that ScreenFX are a leading supplier in the field of interactive
digital commercialisation".

About ScreenFX plc
* ScreenFX was listed on AIM in March 2004.
* The Westfield ScreenFX 'InfoPod' consists of two 63" plasma screens mounted
back-to-back, overhead, together with two 17" touch screens at waist level,
sited at high traffic locations in the malls.
* Screen content consists of an irresistible combination of big brand
'live-action' advertising, daily 'feel good' news up-dates and scrolling
centre management messaging.
* All content is delivered remotely to each centre, and individually
to each screen, from the ScreenFX Media Centre in Cheshire.
* As an innovative advertising channel the screens have proved to be highly
attractive to major brand advertisers such as Debenhams, Disney Home
Video, Lever Faberge, Sky, Switch Maestro, 3 Mobile, Vodafone and Levis.
* The touch screens enable brands to give their promotions greater ' width
and depth' whilst also giving shoppers the facility of a store 'wayfinder'
and product category guide with digital voice enhancement.
* The ScreenFX network currently provides access to an audience of
approximately 200 million shoppers a year. Seven Westfield centres,
including Merry Hill, West Midlands and Nottingham's Broadmarsh Centre,
will add over 100 million more shoppers to the ScreenFX audience.
* The Trafford Centre, where 'InfoPods' will be installed over the
coming weeks, will add a further 30 million annual footfall.
