    Suspension of Trading

    Strategic Retail announces that, further to the statement made in the Company's interim results announcement dated 28 November 2008
that, in the light of current trading conditions, the directors were continuing to review all options, the Board has today resolved to
appoint administrators to three of its trading subsidiaries, Fads (Trading) Limited, Leveys (Fads) Limited and Texstyle World (Fads)
Limited.  

    Accordingly, the Company has requested a temporary suspension of trading in its shares on AIM.  A further announcement will be made in
due course.
