    Directorate Appointment

    Sheffield United plc, (AIM: SUT) the football, property, lesiure and services company annouces that Simon Neil Argall will join its
Board as Operations Director with immediate effect. 

    Simon (40) has worked for Sheffield United plc since August 2006, firstly as Head of Lesuire and latterly as Head of Operations. Amongst
his other responsibilities he has played an instrumental part in the delivery of the Copthorne Hotel Sheffield at Bramall Lane on time and
budget. Prior to joining Sheffield United Simon worked as a senior regional manager for the Esporta brand of premium Health clubs having
previously held a number of senior positions at Greene King PLC involved in the national operations and strategic development of this
leading Retail Brewery. 

    Kevin McCabe, Chairman of Sheffield United plc commented, "Over the last 2 years Simon has successfully driven the profitability of the
operational departments of Sheffield United plc. He has become an integral part of the management and joins the main board as a valued
member of the the team. The current economic downturn makes the operating environment more challenging and Simon's role will be to ensure
that Sheffield United offer a premium product to fans and customers at an affordable price."
