GEM Launches New Division to Equip Live Shows MONTREAL, March 9
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Grand Entertainment and Music, Inc. has
launched a new division to supply sound equipment for live music
shows in venues as large as arenas, said GEM vice-president Peter
Stocola. To strengthen its position in this field, GEM has also
entered into discussions to form a strategic alliance with SES
"Special Events Services" of Montreal, which is already deep into
this market. This new division will be called GEM Equipment Rentals
/ GEM Event Special Services. "Our next goal is to establish a firm
relationship with major agents, impresarios and artists to ensure
expansion of our combined market share in this field," Stocola
said. "We believe this will become a major new source of revenue in
the next fiscal year for GEM," he added. "The type of equipment
we're able to offer includes banks of speakers, large control
consoles, amplifiers, and so on." GEM, which specializes in
entertainment production, trades under ticker symbol GENM. The
company recently announced that it is installing new DVD-video
capabilities, and that it is entering the online music market this
summer. GEM's music catalogues range from pop, childrens',
classical, salsa and rap. Titles will be offered for sampling and
