Debt Ratio

Debt ratio, gives the Long-term Debt as percentage of the Total Long-term Capital of a company (both debt and equity). The formula is the following:

= [(creditors long + creditors others + subordinated loans + insurance funds) / (ordinary capital & reserves + preferences & minorities + creditors long + creditors others + subordinated loans + insurance funds)] * 100
or
= [LONG-TERM DEBT / (LONG-TERM DEBT + EQUITY)] * 100
