Balchem Appoints Bob Van Der Schaaf Western Region Technical Sales Representative for its Animal Nutrition & Health Business NEW HAMPTON, N.Y., April 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Balchem Encapsulates, a business segment of Balchem Corporation, announced today the appointment of Bob Van Der Schaaf as Western Region Technical Sales Representative for its Animal Nutrition and Health business. In this position, Van Der Schaaf will be responsible for developing the growing animal nutrition and health business in the Western United States, focusing particularly on the unit's flagship product, Reashure(R) and its new product, Nitroshure(TM). These products are targeted to providing unique nutritional solutions to the dairy industry via Balchem's proprietary micro-encapsulation technology. Van Der Schaaf will be focusing on developing the nation's largest State dairy nutrition market, California, while strategically exploring growth opportunities in the Northwest and Southwest markets. Additionally, he worked closely with industry consultants to build marketing and customer relations for Nutrius in this important market area. In total, Van Der Schaaf brings over 20 years of industry experience to Balchem with 10 years of experience most recently in California with Nutrius. He received a bachelor of science in dairy science from Iowa State University. Van Der Schaaf is a member of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS).
