Toshiba Corp.(6502.TO), Nakaya Microdevices Corp. and Amkor Technology Inc. (AMKR) said Wednesday that they will postpone the start of operations of their joint venture to provide system LSI assembly and testing services.

The three chip makers said in a joint release the delay is because they are still negotiating definitive agreements.

The firms initially aimed to begin operations of the venture on Oct. 1 and now plan to announce the new start date once they reach a final agreement.
