South African Rand Surges Up Further Against Greenback

The South African rand extended early morning session's uptrend
against its US counterpart in New York mid-day trading on Monday.
The rand edged up to a 10-day high of 7.3438 versus the greenback
as of 12:50 pm ET from last week's North American session close of
7.5193. Currently, the rand is trading near 7.3930 versus the
dollar. The rand has been in an upward channel against the
greenback for the past 5 days.
