MoneyRates.com (m.money-rates.com), a personal finance site owned
by QuinStreet, Inc. (Nasdaq:QNST), earned the Best Financial
Services Mobile Website award in the Web Marketing Association's
2012 MobileWebAwards.
The MobileWebAwards recognize sites that "showcase the best in
award-winning mobile development," according to the Web Marketing
Association. This award is the second Web Marketing Association
recognition for MoneyRates.com, which received a Financial Services
Standard of Excellence Award in the 2011 WebAward competition.
"In developing MoneyRates.com's mobile version, we strove to
make the site's useful product comparison tools, proprietary
industry research, personal finance articles and calculators more
accessible to our readership," said Edton Mock, director of online
media at QuinStreet. "We are pleased to see these efforts
recognized by the Web Marketing Association."
MoneyRates.com has been gathering and publishing the highest
interest rates for savings accounts, money market accounts and
certificates of deposit since 1999. In addition, the site offers
financial tips, news commentary, calculators and other resources
for consumers. The site is part of QuinStreet's financial services
portfolio, which includes CarInsurance.com, Insure.com,
CardRatings.com, GetRichSlowly.org and HSH.com. Each month these
websites collectively reach millions of readers who are interested
in personal finance advice and current offers for deposit accounts,
credit cards, mortgages and insurance policies.
"MoneyRates.com provides value to savers and investors who want
to make the most of their money in today's difficult financial
environment," Mock said. "We pride ourselves in helping consumers
make wise decisions, both through our traditional site and now on
our award-winning mobile site."
MoneyRates.com is regularly featured in major media outlets,
including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, The
Huffington Post and MSN Money. Popular features include the
proprietary research and surveys housed in the MoneyRates Research
Center, such as the annual ranking of Best and Worst States to
Retire, a semiannual Bank Fee Survey and a quarterly America's Best
Rates release, which identifies the banks consistently offering
high savings account rates and money market account rates.
MoneyRates.com's senior financial analyst, Richard Barrington, CFA,
is frequently quoted by journalists on banking and investment
topics. Barrington has provided expert commentary for USA Today,
U.S. News and World Report and National Public Radio's Talk of the
