Kroger Planning Layoffs, Source Says -CNBC

--Kroger Co. (KR) is preparing to lay off hundreds of employees
across its grocery stores, CNBC reported, citing "a person familiar
with the situation.
--In addition to its eponymous grocery stores, Kroger also owns
Teeter Harris, Ralphs and Fred Meyer, the report said.
--A statement from a Kroger spokeswoman said, "As part of
ongoing talent management, many store operating divisions are
evaluating middle management roles and team structures with an eye
toward keeping resources close to the customer," according to the
report.
