Video Contest Challenges Guests to Create and Name Their Ultimate
Milk Shake INDIANAPOLIS, March 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The
Steak n Shake Company (NYSE:SNS) announced the launch of a new
video contest that challenges guests to be the master of their Milk
Shake and submit their idea for the best flavor combination. The
"So, You Think You Can Make a Milk Shake?" contest coincides with
new, customized Milk Shakes that the restaurant chain is offering
for a limited time. (Logo:

same time, select Steak n Shake restaurants have temporarily added
the all-new Black Peppercorn Bacon STEAKBURGER(TM) to its line of
Premium Topping STEAKBURGERS(TM). Steak n Shake puts the power to
create and name the perfect Milk Shake in the imagination, and
taste buds, of its loyal guests. Combine one or more of eight real
fruit, candy or cookie bit mix-ins to one of 10 Classic Milk Shake
flavors. For those doing the math, that equals more than 2,500 Milk
Shake combinations to be hand-dipped, individually mixed and
indulged. "Maybe you always wanted to have a Chocolate Milk Shake
with Raspberries and Cookies 'n Cream mixed throughout. Well, now
you can have that-or one of thousands of other possible
combinations you can create with one or more mix- ins," said Doug
Willard, vice president of consumer insight and innovation for
Steak n Shake. "In fact, we know our guests are creative, so we're
asking them to send us a short, one minute or less, video
describing their favorite flavor combination and naming their
creation. The winner will receive one free Milk Shake a day for one
year, and the best video will appear on the Steak n Shake Web
site." The best video will be selected based on originality of
flavor combination and name, taste appeal, visual appeal and video
communication creativity." Contest deadline is April 8, 2007.
Interested video submitters can go to http://www.steaknshake.com/
to learn more about the contest and how to submit their video. The
custom Classic Milk Shake is available in all sizes for dine-in,
drive-thru and carryout. The combinations are available for a
limited time only. The new Black Peppercorn Bacon Premium Topping
STEAKBURGER(TM) pairs two STEAKBURGER(TM) patties with two slices
of thick, savory black peppercorn bacon and pepperjack cheese.
Available while supplies last, the new sandwich is the latest in
the line of Premium Topping STEAKBURGERS(TM) that includes BBQ,
Bacon 'n Ranch, Grilled Portobello 'n Swiss, Grilled Mushroom 'n
Onion, Three Cheese, and Hickory Smoked Thick Bacon. Steak n Shake
