Proposed Strike At Antwerp Refinery Stays Suspended - Exxon
November 28 2011 - 10:41AM
Dow Jones News
Workers at Exxon Mobil Corp.'s (XOM) Antwerp refinery voted to
reject new labor conditions proposed by management but said that
plans for a strike at the 320,000-barrel-a-day refinery would
remain suspended.
Exxon Mobil said Nov. 17 that it would start shutting the
refinery, one of its biggest in Europe, after a planned strike by
workers. But the following day unions postponed the strike until
the proposals went to a referendum, and the refinery stayed
online.
