operated and start to record when they detect motion. Without the

Essential Features of the Wire-free Security System
There are many unique features and conveniences of these
sophisticated wire-free security systems:
- Up to 80ft infrared night vision – With infrared night
vision capability, wire-free cameras can continue to watch your
property all night long. Equipped with powerful infrared LEDs, they
can record night vision video up to 40ft in total darkness or 80ft
with the help of some ambient lighting. They are also fitted with
an infrared cut filter that automatically disengages at night. This
ensures that the infrared lights have no effects on the colors in
daytime video recordings.
- Up to 6-8 month's battery life – The wire-free cameras
in this system are powered by a four-cell rechargeable lithium-ion
power pack. With this power pack, the user can expect up to six to
eight months of use before having to recharge the battery. However,
battery life largely depends on its usage. Cameras in low traffic
areas, for example, will have longer battery life than cameras in
high traffic areas since the cameras will turn on more often. With
the Lorex Secure app, the user will be notified if the battery
needs charging or replacing.
- No monthly fees with secure local storage – The system
comes with a professional-grade Digital Video Recorder (DVR) with a
built-in 1TB hard drive (upgradable to 6TBs). This local storage
can provide up to two years' worth of motion recordings. Plus,
since the video is locally stored, there are no monthly fees for
cloud storage.
- IP65 waterproof – The wire-free cameras in these systems
are IP65 rated. They are designed to withstand harsh weather
conditions, such as heat, cold, snow and rain. As such, these
cameras are safe for outdoor installations. They are engineered to
operate in temperatures as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20
degrees Celsius) or as high as 113 degrees Fahrenheit (45 degrees
Celsius).
Other Features of the Wire-free Security Camera
Aside from a quick and easy installation, wire-free security
cameras have plenty of other unique features such as crisp 1080p HD
quality recordings, a long-distance wireless range up to 450ft away
from the camera's receiver, and an auto-reconnect feature that will
automatically reconnect the camera to the DVR should the wireless
signal become too low or if the battery fully depletes. Remote
monitoring is also possible with the Lorex Secure app for
smartphones and tablets. Using this app, users can easily view live
video, review past motion events, and receive push notifications
the moment a camera detects motion. Users can also simply turn off
a camera using the new Privacy Mode feature within the app.
