DANR Dana Resources (CE)

Dana Resources (OTCBB: DANR) ("Dana"), a US-based precious and base metals exploration company, wishes to update its shareholders on the status of its 19 patented and unpatented base and precious metal mining properties (the "Properties"). The properties are located in the provinces of Chumbivilcas, Recuay, Piura, Huaytara, Pallasca, and Huancabamba, Peru in relation to a recent press release dated March 1, 2010, discussing the Collota Gold Deposit located in Northern Peru which is part of the Properties.

On June 3, 2008, Dana Resources entered into an agreement for acquisition (the "Agreement") of the Properties (which included the Collota Gold Deposit) from SMRL Angelo XXI, a Peruvian corporation owned by Dana Resources' former Chairman Moises Rosales. Details of the acquistion can be found in Dana Resources' filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dana Resources received a notice of termination on the rights to the Properties by SMRL Angelo XXI and Moises Rosales dated September 29, 2009 due to non-payment of the monthly royalty fees required under a separate Agreement that the former Chairman Moises Rosales drafted in Peru and did not file with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Therefore, a dispute as to the validity of the notice of termination exists between SMRL Angelo XXI, Moises Rosales and Dana Resources. As of December 31, 2009, the Properties had been fully impaired since the dispute had not been resolved regarding Dana Resources' legal rights and ownership. Dana Resources plans to initiate a legal action if Mr. Rosales and SMRL Angelo XXI do not properly transfer the Properties into Dana Resources' wholly owned Peruvian subsidiary as outlined in the acquisition agreement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, however, such legal actions have not yet commenced.
