Tesco Faces Equal Pay Claim of Up to GBP4 Billion -The Guardian

--Tesco PLC (TSCO.LN) faces a demand for up to 4 billion pounds
($5.58 billion) from thousands of mainly female shopworkers in back
pay, in what might become the largest ever equal pay claim in the
U.K, The Guardian reports.
--Law firm Leigh Day has launched legal action against the U.K.
supermarket on behalf of nearly 100 shop assistants who say they
earn as much as GBP3 less an hour than male warehouse workers in
similar roles, The Guardian reports.
--Tesco warehouse staff can earn more than GBP11, while store
staff earn around GBP8, according to The Guardian.
