French Regulator ARCEP:3 Steps To Lower Call Termination Rates

Arcep, the French telecoms regulator, Friday published mobile
phone call termination rates for 2011-2013, for Orange, a unit of
France Telecom (FTE), Vivendi's (VIV.FR) SFR, and Bouygues Telecom,
a unit of Bouygues SA (EN.FR), setting out a transition towards
lower prices.
MAIN FACTS:
- Arcep said there will be three phases:-
A first fall, to a maximum level of EUR0.02/minute, coming in on
July 1 2011 for six months.
A second fall, to a maximum level of EUR0.015/minute, coming in
on Jan. 1 2012, for six months.
A third phase to a maximum level of EUR0.01/minute, coming in on
July 1 2012, for six months

- "These three phasses will notably allow operators to adapt to
the target level of EUR0.08, applicable from Jan. 1 2013," Arcep
said.
