French Telecom Regulator: Iliad Meets Coverage Requirements

France's telecom regulator said Tuesday the mobile telephone
network of Iliad (ILD.FR), the country's fourth operator, met the
coverage requirements as of the end of January.
Iliad's network covers 28% of the country's population, the
regulator said. Iliad, which started providing mobile telephone
service in mid-January, was supposed to cover at least 27%.
Iliad's rivals have questioned whether it is complying with the
network requirements. Iliad competes with France Telecom SA
(FTE.FR); SFR, a unit of Vivendi SA (VIV.FR); and Bouygues Telecom,
a unit of Bouygues SA (EN.FR).
