The company have today notified the listings division of the Johannesburg
Stock Exchange that:

 1. J P Morgan had notified Genbel that they no longer wished to act as
    Genbel's JSE sponsor; and
 2. Genbel's Board of Directors have appointed Gensec Bank Limited as the
    Company's JSE sponsor with effect from 21 February 2001.
