Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification in accordance
with Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 that Deutsche Bank AG and its
subsidiary companies (together "Deutsche Bank") has a notifiable interest in
31,711,856 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in Chloride, being 12.80% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Chloride.

The previous position notified by Deutsche Bank was on 22 November 2001, when
its interest in 32,558,398 (13.14%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
