Federal Signal Appoints Leo T. Mahon Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Investor Relations

OAK BROOK, Ill., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Federal Signal
Corporation (NYSE:FSS), a leader in advancing security and

announced that Leo T. Mahon has been appointed to the newly created
position of Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and
Investor Relations. Since January 2009, Mr. Mahon has provided
consulting services to Federal Signal in connection with the
development and implementation of the Company's strategy to deliver
long-term consistent, profitable growth, enhance earnings and cash
flow, and create stockholder value. In his new role, reporting to
William H. Osborne, president and chief executive officer of
Federal Signal, Mr. Mahon will have direct responsibility for
Federal Signal's business development and corporate strategy
functions. Mr. Mahon will also be responsible for investor
relations. "Leo brings a combination of extensive industry
knowledge, financial acumen and a clear vision for effective
