    Issue of shares

    Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for 114,066 Redeemable Participating Preference Shares of 1 pence each designated
as US Dollar shares (the "new US Dollar Shares"), 6,987,462 Redeemable Participating Preference Shares of 1 pence each designated as
Sterling Hedged shares (the "new Sterling Shares") and 11,517,819 Redeemable Participating Preference Shares of 1 pence each designated as
Euro Hedged shares (the "new Euro Shares") (together with the new US Dollar Shares and the new Sterling Shares, the "Shares") to be admitted
to the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for admission of the same number of Redeemable Participating Preference Shares to
trading on the London Stock Exchange. 

    The new US Dollar Shares will be issued for cash at $1.8467 each, the new Sterling Shares will be issued for cash at �0.9971 each and
the new Euro Shares will be issued for cash at EUR1.44703 each. All new Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Shares in issue.

    Dealings are expected to commence in the new Shares on 5 November 2008.

    Following the issue, there will be 41,367,829 US Dollar Shares (excluding treasury shares), 18,807,349 Sterling Hedged Shares (excluding
treasury shares) and 11,517,819 Euro Hedged Shares (excluding treasury shares) in issue in total.
