LONDON--Sage Group PLC (SGE.LN), a provider of business
management software to small and medium-sized companies, said
Monday it has appointed Steve Hare as its chief financial officer,
with effect from Jan. 3, 2014, to replace Paul Harrison who stepped
down in August.
Mr. Hare was most recently operating partner at Apax Partners.
Prior to joining Apax in 2009, he accumulated over 10 years'
experience as CFO for three listed U.K. companies, most recently at
Invensys PLC from 2006 to 2009.
Chief Executive Guy Berruyer said: "This appointment further
strengthens our executive team and he will play a key role in
driving forward our strategy and realising our growth
ambitions."
Mr. Harrison left Sage Group to become CFO at WANdisco PLC.
Shares closed Friday at 344 pence, valuing the company at 3.78
billion pounds ($6.06 billion).
