         Granting of Share Options to Directors of Oriel Resources plc

The Directors of Oriel Resources Plc ("Oriel" or "the Company"), the
London-based chrome and nickel mining and processing company, announce the
granting of options (the 'Options') over its common shares as of 7 December 2006
to the Directors of the Company as follows:

The Options were granted pursuant to the Company's Share Option Scheme at an
exercise price of #0.52.

The Options will vest as to one-third on the first, second and third
anniversaries of the date of grant and may not be exercised later than the fifth
anniversary of the date of grant, being 8 December 2011.
