Result of EGM

Asian Plantations Limited (LSE: PALM), a palm oil plantation company with operations in Malaysia, is pleased to announce that the resolutions put to the shareholders of the Company at the extraordinary general meeting held today, details of which were set out in the circular posted to shareholders in connection with the placing announced on 27 January 2011, which is available for download from the Company's website www.asianplantations.com (the "Circular"), were duly passed.

It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings in the 7,272,728 Placing Shares will commence on AIM at 8.00 a.m. on 28 February 2011. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued ordinary shares of APL.

For the purposes of this announcement, all defined terms carry the same meaning as those set out in the Circular.
