Faroe Petroleum Says Drilling Begins at Njord North Flank-2 Well

LONDON--North Sea-focused oil and gas explorer Faroe Petroleum
PLC (FPM.LN) said Tuesday that drilling has started at its
7.5%-owned Njord North Flank-2 well in the Norwegian North Sea.
The well, which is located in Licence PL107C immediately north
of the Faroe's 7.5%-owned Njord field, will target the middle and
lower jurassic sandstone reservoirs of the Ile and Tilje
formations.
The well is operated by Statoil ASA (STO), which owns a 20%
stake, while France's Engie S.A. (ENGI.FR) owns a 40% stake, DEA
E&P Norge AS has a 30% stake and VNG Norge AS holds a 2.5%
stake.
