The Guggenheim/Zacks Mid-Cap Core ETF (CZA) seeks to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Zacks Mid-Cap Core Index. The fund will invest at least 90% of assets in securities that comprise the index. The index consists of 100 stocks selected, based on investment and other criteria, from a universe of mid-capitalization common stocks, MLPs, and ADRs. The fund is nondiversified.

This ETF looks to give investors exposure to a basket of mid cap stocks selected using a quantitative rules-based methodology. This technique includes broker recommendation changes, valuation, liquidity, contrarian indicators, and other factors and is sorted from highest to lowest. The constituent selection methodology was developed by Zacks as a quantitative approach to identifying those securities that offer the greatest return potential on a risk-adjusted basis. The final security basket consists of the 100 highest rated securities and is weighted based on a relative market capitalization system. The process, as well as the ranking, reconstitution, and rebalancing of the index is repeated on a quarterly basis. For more information, check out CZA’s home page.
