Issue of shares

P. Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group, Inc. announces that application
has been made for 35,694 new shares of common stock (the "New Shares")
to be admitted to listing on the Official List of the UK Listing
Authority and admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange's
market for listed securities. The New Shares have been issued at a
price of (Y)455,600 per share of common stock, raising
(Y)16,262,186,400 before expenses. Dealings in the new shares of
common stock are expected to commence on 27th March, 2003.
