"Our thoughts are with those affected by the disaster as they recover and rebuild from the losses suffered in the storm." Many of the company's employees, who travel from 100 different Maine and New Hampshire cities and towns, were affected by the Nor'easter on Monday, April 16. Although National's plant, which operates 24 hours a day, experienced loss of emergency power and was flooded, its manufacturing operations continued. In addition, National hosted the State Police, who were displaced from their offices due to emergency power outages during the storm. Officers from the Gray and Crosby Hill barracks used National's conference facility as a substation to keep their communications open throughout the day.
