Greenback Slides From More Than 2-month High Against South African Rand

The US currency that hit more than a 2-month high of 7.1288
versus the South African rand in early morning session on
Wednesday, traded lower thereafter and presently trading near
7.0653. At yesterday's close, the dollar-rand pair was quoted at
7.1149.
On the economic front, the Statistics South Africa said that
consumer price index for all urban areas rose 3.4% year-on-year,
faster than 3.2% in September. Economists were looking for an
inflation rate of 3.3%. Month-on-month, the CPI rose 0.2% in
October.
