SCHAUMBURG, Ill., March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Central Life
Sciences today launched a photo and caption contest on the
ClariFly® Larvicide Facebook page asking future dairy
professionals to share their pictures and thoughts on the industry.
The ClariFly Future of Dairy Contest will run throughout the month
of March and into April to celebrate National Agriculture Month and
will award several prizes to winning entries, including a top cash
prize of $3,000.
Contestant must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in an
accredited agricultural program or employed in an agricultural
profession. To enter, contestants are asked to visit the contest
app on the ClariFly Larvicide Facebook page and submit an original
photo they have taken relating to the dairy industry along with a
100-150-word caption explaining why their photo exemplifies that
the future of the dairy industry is strong or why they have chosen
to pursue a dairy related career. All entries submitted by the
April 23, 2013 deadline will be
reviewed by a panel of Central Life Sciences experts who will award
one $3,000 top prize, two
$1,000 runner-up prizes and multiple
$500 honorable mention prizes.
"We really want to engage the young men and women who represent
the future of the dairy industry and learn what has inspired them
to pursue these careers," said Mark
Taylor, director of marketing for ClariFly Larvicide. "This
contest provides us an opportunity to fuel the fire within these
future professionals, and we hope the available prizes can assist
with education or other expenses as they prepare to enter the
field."
ClariFly® Larvicide is a feed supplement that
prevents adult house flies, stable flies, face flies, and horn
flies from developing in and emerging from the manure of treated
cattle. Unlike conventional insecticides that attack the nervous
system of insects, ClariFly® works by interrupting the
fly's life cycle, rather than through direct toxicity. The official
ClariFly® Facebook page provides product information,
fly-control tips and the latest news on the dairy industry from
around the country.
Complete rules and restrictions for the ClariFly Future of Dairy
Contest are available at the ClariFly® Larvicide
website.
