-- Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) has named Peter Ziparo to the position of vice president
and general counsel, with responsibility for the company's global
legal and compliance activities. He replaces Michael Sharnas, Visteon's general counsel since
September 2009, who has elected to
relocate to southwestern Michigan
and remains with the company in a revised role, focusing on
strategic transactions.
Ziparo joined Visteon in 2002 as associate general counsel and
has served as assistant general counsel since 2005. Before joining
Visteon, he was a corporate associate with the New York City office of Morrison & Foerster LLP, after beginning his
legal career as a corporate associate with the New York City office of Chadbourne & Parke
LLP.

Ziparo received his juris doctorate degree, magna cum laude,
from Albany Law School of Union
University, where he was on the editorial board of the law
review, and his bachelor's degree with honors in mathematics from
Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.
