Evercore (NYSE: EVR) announced today that Eric Neveux and Graham Nix have joined the firm as senior managing directors in the Financial Institutions Group based in Chicago and New York, respectively. Their arrival marks Evercore’s latest effort in continuing to build its financial institutions business, which has been an area of significant investment and expansion.

Jason Sobol, co-head of U.S. Investment Banking, said, “The financial institutions business remains a core focus of expansion for Evercore, and adding banking sector expertise is a crucial step in this strategy. We believe the banking sector is poised for growth and consolidation as we move into 2025 and beyond. Eric and Graham are uniquely positioned to lead this effort with over 40 years of combined banking sector advisory experience.”

Mr. Neveux brings over two decades of investment banking experience to Evercore from Goldman Sachs. Most recently, he was a partner, head of banks and specialty finance for the Americas and co-head of investment banking for the Midwest region, focused on strategic advice for banks and specialty finance companies. Mr. Neveux began his career at Goldman Sachs as an analyst in 2001. He holds a B.S. in finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Mr. Neveux said, “I’m incredibly excited to continue my career advising financial institutions on the Evercore platform. As evidenced by the recent team expansion, together with Evercore, Graham and I are committed to building a best-in-class team to provide differentiated, independent advice to our clients.”

Mr. Nix joins Evercore from Morgan Stanley, where he most recently served as a managing director in the financial institutions group. He has nearly 20 years of investment banking experience advising banks and financial companies across mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and balance sheet solutions. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Nix was a director advising regional banks at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, and an associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a B.S. in accounting and business administration from Washington & Lee University.

Mr. Nix said, “I am thrilled to be joining Evercore, a firm with an unwavering commitment to excellence and a strong platform for delivering independent strategic advice.
