Hedge fund firm Highbridge Capital has hired two credit fund
managers from asset manager Intermediate Capital Group, according
to a person familiar with the matter.
Highbridge, which is owned by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., hired
Nick Strong and Simon Peatfield from ICG to launch a new
collateralized loan business investing in European corporate loans
and bonds.
ICG declined to comment.
Mr. Strong and Mr. Peatfield will join later this year and will
sit within Highbridge's Principal Strategies unit, which runs
around $24 billion in assets and invests in private equity,
leveraged loans and structured credit.
Mr. Peatfield, who is a director and portfolio manager at ICG,
didn't respond to a request for comment on website LinkedIn. Mr.
Strong, a portfolio manager in the credit fund management team,
couldn't be reached for comment.
