World's Leading Cloud and Content Providers Team With BTI Systems
Global Services Group
Explosive Demand Fuels Tripling of BTI's Partner Network and
Doubling of Its Global Support Organization
OTTAWA, ON and BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 15, 2014) - BTI
Systems, an award-winning provider of cloud and metro networking
software and systems to content and service providers around the
world, today announced significant expansions to its service and
support capabilities and partner ecosystem.
Fueled by BTI's reputation for teaming with the industry's most
influential and fastest-growing providers to accelerate
time-to-value for an ever-increasing range of services, BTI's
network commissioning, monitoring and provisioning support
offerings enable its customers to reduce costs by freeing them from
the burden of expanding their operational organizations. More than
40 percent of BTI's revenues come from top-tier content, cloud
and service providers.
A rapidly growing number of cloud and content providers are
capitalizing on the multiple business advantages of building their
own private networks to deliver high-capacity connectivity between
cloud data centers in metro and regional areas. Implementing and
operating their own metro and regional networks gives them
strategic control of the infrastructure used to deliver content and
applications, as well as economies of scale. However, the costs of
establishing a network operations center (NOC) and staffing it with
skilled personnel to monitor, manage and optimize these networks
can substantially offset the expected advantages of building those
networks.
Traditional service providers also have requirements for expert
resources and augmented monitoring, management, provisioning and
technical support. Ensuring efficient and continual operations is a
priority for business and revenue growth. So, too, is accommodating
demand fueled by ever-increasing consumer and business network
traffic driven by over-the-top (OTT) applications, mobile computing
and transactional processing.
BTI's service and support offerings enable their customers to
overcome those challenges. "Service and content providers leverage
our 7x24x365 global service and support infrastructure to speed
time-to-deployment," said Raj Sathyaraj, BTI's senior director,
worldwide service sales and business development. "This enables
them to monetize their investment in BTI solutions more quickly. In
addition to providing our customers with traditional break-fix
support, we are taking on the complexity and responsibility of
proactively monitoring, provisioning and maintaining networks to a
stated level of operation."
"Our service and support offerings are designed to help
customers achieve their business objectives," Sathyaraj added. "In
fact, in the most recent survey of our customers, 97 percent found
our technical service and support much better, better or at least
as good as our competitors. We have installed and managed hundreds
of networks and our success is reflected in our growth."
RackspaceĀ® Hosting (NYSE: RAX), the open cloud company, operates
its own metro networks and has reduced leased transport costs while
taking strategic control and gaining the flexibility to turn up
network capacity to satisfy rapidly escalating business demands.
Rackspace chose BTI's solutions, as well as BTI's NOC and four hour
onsite parts, and BTI technician services to augment and streamline
its operations with continuous remote monitoring and management.
Doing so provides Rackspace with a single point of contact for all
services and troubleshooting, as well as proactive network
monitoring.
"BTI worked with us to test our fiber rings to make sure we had
a clean optical infrastructure, and also helped us with the private
network installation," said Chip Hanson, network engineering
manager at Rackspace. "Our Dynamic Optical Layer network was up and
running within a couple of months of our first meeting with BTI.
Working closely with our engineers, BTI ensured the deployment went
smoothly and continues to do so."
