North Carolina Voting Special Produced In
Collaboration With The League Of Women Voters
Time Warner Cable News North Carolina (TWC News North
Carolina) today announced it will debut Decision 2016: Make Your
Vote Count, a special on North Carolina’s voting process, on
Friday, February 26th at 7:30 p.m. Anchor Tim Boyum and the
network’s news team will provide viewers with a comprehensive
overview of North Carolina’s political parties, breakdown the
changes in the state’s voting laws, and offer a thorough look into
voter resources.
The network’s informative half-hour special will examine the
importance of voting and take viewers through the voting process –
including registration – providing step by step details on what
people need to know at the polls. The program will also delve into
North Carolina’s new voter ID law, which will require North
Carolina voters to show one of six “acceptable forms” of photo ID
to cast their vote.
Decision 2016: Make Your Vote Count is produced in
collaboration with the League of Women Voters of North
Carolina, a nonpartisan political organization that encourages
informed and active participation in government. In late 2015, TWC
News North Carolina and the League of Women Voters of North
Carolina announced their joint effort on a series of
nonpartisan political initiatives, including vignettes and public
service announcements leading up to key political races in an
effort to help inform North Carolinians about recent changes to the
voting process.
After the debut of Decision 2016: Make Your Vote Count,
the network will re-air the program on Saturday, February 27th at
12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and on Sunday, February 28th, 11:00 a.m.
The special will also be shown statewide leading up to North
Carolina’s Presidential preference primary and other statewide
primary elections on March 15, 2016. For additional re-airs,
