Mr. Alvarez brings an extensive background within the automotive industry to AEDC. From accessories management to development of high performance vehicles, Alvarez brings expertise in sales and marketing, new product design and development, operations management and customer service excellence. He is widely recognized as both a thought leader and design specialist in the automotive aftermarket industry.

From 2000-2007, Alvarez served as Chief Engineering Officer for Phoenix-based Lund Cadillac where he increased national visibility and awareness by driving strong market demand for performance accessories via celebrity and industry endorsements. During his tenure, sales of aftermarket accessories at Lund rose to more than 10 million per year, more than any other Cadillac dealer in the nation.

Additionally, Mr. Alvarez played a primary role in the design and development of Lund's custom performance Cadillac CTS that broke the world speed at Bonneville Salt Flats in 2004, (breaking the 200 mph barrier) and twice in 2005 (218 mph). Alvarez personally developed the CTS chassis and suspension, assisted in fabrication, aerodynamics and body kit work and collaborated with legendary automotive figure Chip Foose on wheel design. Alvarez was responsible for custom software development that led to improved engine performance via greater horsepower and torque. For his Foose-led efforts, Alvarez was a dual award winner at the world renowned SEMA car show held in Las Vegas, NV, and was featured on The Learning Channel's hit TV series "Rides." Alvarez intends to attempt another land speed record in late 2009.

From 2007-2008, Mr. Alvarez served as Regional Manager for Advanced Metal Forming Technologies (A.M.T.) in Ventura, California, where he increased sales in excess of 40% for all the company's territories in the Western United States. In 2008, Alvarez was hired by Driven Performance, to optimize the performance and mileage for all GM vehicles.

Mr. Alvarez joined the AEDC team as the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer on May 5, 2009.
