Exostar Appoints Vought's Judy Northup to Board of Directors HERNDON, Va., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Exostar, the global marketplace for the aerospace and defense industry, today announced the appointment of Judith W. Northup to the board of directors. Northup is vice president and chief administrative officer for Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. She provides executive leadership for Vought's materiel, human resources, government/industry relations and corporate communications functions. Ms. Northup has been with Vought in various capacities since 1979. Exostar Chairman Paul Kaminski expressed enthusiasm about the addition of an independent board member from the supply network. "We have worked especially hard during the last year to build this business and get over 13,000 suppliers active in our marketplace. Now, with Ms. Northup's background and experience, Exostar will be adding that all-important supplier's perspective to the board." Ms. Northup joins the board at their next meeting on August 24. Bill Angeloni, Exostar's chief executive officer, noted, "This is a great 'win' for Exostar. One element of our strategy is providing creative and flexible solutions for trading partners of all sizes in a secure external neutral environment. I look forward to Ms. Northup bringing to the board level the challenges faced by members of the supplier base." Ms. Northup began her career as a cost accountant for Dresser Industries and then formed her own accounting services business. Her 25-year career with Vought has included various positions within finance, supply chain management and human resources. In 1997, she was appointed vice president of materiel for Northrop Grumman's Commercial Aircraft Division and in 1999, Ms. Northup was named sector vice president of materiel for Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems and Aerostructures Sector. Ms. Northup served as vice president of materiel -- a position she was appointed to in July 2000 when Vought Aircraft Industries was established as an independent company. Her responsibilities included procurement, supplier interface and relations, inventory and production control, kitting, external transportation, receiving and warehousing, shipping, material quality, material cost management, estimating and price/cost analysis. Most recently Ms. Northup was vice president of human resources and administration.
