Belgian bank KBC Group (KBC.BT) Thursday said Jan Huyghebaert, the chairman of its board of directors, will step down and be replaced by Thomas Leysen.

Leysen is also chairman of Belgian materials firm Umicore SA (UMI.BT) and Corelio, a Belgian media firm.
