                          ARCHIPELAGO  RESOURCES  PLC 
 
                                ISSUE OF EQUITY 
 
Further to the announcement on 26 February 2010 in respect of a placing to 
institutional investors to raise GBP30 million for development of the Toka 
Tindung Gold Project, Archipelago Resources Plc ("Archipelago" or "the Company") 
advises that to date funds have been received from placees in respect of 
57,742,527 placing shares, which will be admitted to trading on AIM with effect 
from 8am on Thursday 4 March 2010. 
 
The remaining 44,257,473 placing shares will be admitted to trading once funds 
have been received and further announcements will be made as appropriate. 
 
Following the issue of the 57,742,527 placing shares noted above, the Company 
will have 448,761,861 ordinary shares in issue, all of which carry one voting 
right.  The Company holds no shares in treasury.
