TRADING IN THE PROPOSED RE-DENOMINATED AND CONSOLIDATED SHARES OF THE COMPANY

Brierley Investments Limited (the "Company") refers to its Circular to
Shareholders dated 9 February, 2001 and to the notice of books closure in
paragraph 2.7 on page 10 thereof which states "trading in the Re-Denominated
and Consolidated share's of US$0.20 each will re-commence on the SGX-ST as from
9.00 a.m. on 19 March, 2001."

The Company wishes to inform Shareholders and investors that, subject to
Shareholders' approval to the proposed Re-Denomination and Consolidation which
will be considered at a Special General Meeting of the Company to be held on 5
March 2001, trading in the Re-Denominated and Consolidated shares of US$0.20
each will commence on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited
(*SGX-ST") as from 9.00 a.m. on 14 March, 2001, and not 19 March, 2001.
