Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification that Wanger
Asset Management L.P. ("Wanger"), a registered investment adviser, no longer
has a reportable interest in the share capital of Chloride.

The previous position notified by Wanger was on 8 June 2000 when its interest
in 8,705,000 (3.53%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
