March 23 2017 - 2:13PM
Dow Jones News
14:43 ET - Experian (EXPN.LN) will pay a $3M penalty to the
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau after the federal agency
accused the company of deceiving customers who bought certain
credit-score products. The CFPB says the credit-reporting company
needs to make changes to how it markets its PLUS Score to
customers, adding that Experian didn't tell customers the scores
they bought were different from scores used by lenders to make
credit decisions. Experian hasn't been reached for comment.
