Purchase of shares by director

On 8 September 2003 the Company was notified that one of its directors, David
Gadd-Claxton, had on 5 September purchased 113,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence
in the Company at a price of 46 pence per share. The total holding of Mr
Gadd-Claxton following this purchase is 113,000 shares, representing 0.22% of
the issued share capital of the Company.
