VAN DIEMAN MINES PLC (the "Company") 
 
 
Results of Shareholder and Creditor Meetings 
 
 
Van Dieman Mines plc (the 'Company') announces that at the Company's general 
meeting and meeting of creditors (together the "Meetings") held today, all of 
the resolutions were duly passed. 
As a result of the passing of the resolutions at the Meetings, the directors 
have put into place the necessary processes to effect the orderly winding up of 
the Company. As such, Keith Aleric Stevens of Wilkins Kennedy, Gladstone House, 
77-79 High Street, Egham, Surrey, TW20 9HY and John Arthur Kirkpatrick of 6c 
Church Street, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 2SB have been appointed joint liquidators 
(the "Liquidators") of the Company for the purposes of the winding-up. 
 
 
Resignation of Nominated Adviser 
 
 
Due to the appointment of the Liquidators and pursuant to the liquidation 
process, the Company announces that it is has today been notified by Grant 
Thornton UK LLP of its resignation as Nominated Adviser to the Company with 
immediate effect. 
 
 
Pursuant to the AIM Rules for Companies, if a replacement Nominated Adviser is 
not appointed within one month of this resignation the admission of the 
Company's securities to trading on AIM will be cancelled. 
 
 
Trading in the Company's shares have been suspended following the announcement 
of 24 February 2009, pending clarification of the Company's financial position. 
Should clarification not be forthcoming, the Company's shares will be cancelled, 
pursuant to AIM Rule 41, from trading on AIM at 7 am on 25 August 2009.
