Dow Jones News
--A lawsuit was filed Thursday against Netflix Inc. (NFLX) and
AT&T Inc. (T) unit Warner Bros. Entertainment by The Satanic
Temple, which is objecting to the use of a statue representing the
deity Baphomet in the series "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,"
Reuters reported Thursday.
--The suit says the series' use of the statue "Baphomet with
Children" violates trademarks and copyrights, and implies it
"stands for evil," according to the report.
--The United Federation of Churches LLC, the formal name of The
Satanic Temple, also claimed evil antagonists on the show were
portrayed "in stark contrast to TST's tenets and beliefs," the
report said.
--A Netflix spokesman referred questions to Warner Bros., which
said the company doesn't discuss pending litigation, according to
Reuters.
