Country During National Down Syndrome Awareness Week
NEW
YORK, March 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- OUTFRONT
Media (NYSE: OUT), one of the largest out of home (OOH) media
companies in the U.S., has partnered with the National Down
Syndrome Society (NDSS) to unveil a new digital billboard campaign
in honor of National Down Syndrome Awareness Week.
From Saturday, March 15 to World
Down Syndrome Day on Friday, March, 21, the billboards will
spotlight five individuals in their hometowns to raise awareness of
Down syndrome. The campaign's message – "I Got That Extra" –
highlights the extra traits that come with the copy of chromosome
21 in people with Down syndrome and celebrates the profound impacts
these individuals make in our local communities. The creative is
produced by OUTFRONT STUDIOS, OUTFRONT's in-house creative
agency.
"Down syndrome awareness is pivotal for NDSS but this work with
OUTFRONT helps us push boundaries," said NDSS President & CEO,
Kandi Pickard. "Together we are
working towards something greater than awareness and shifting
perceptions of Down syndrome. We're telling stories and changing
mindsets one billboard at a time."
The campaign features the following individuals:
- Angad Sahgal –
Atlanta, Georgia – Entrepreneur
and Founder, Chai Ho Tea &
LetMeDoIt
- Max Crawford – St.
Peter's, Missouri – Founder, Max

"I'm proud to be part of this campaign because it tells the
world that people with Down syndrome can do anything," said
Angad Sahgal of Atlanta. "We have big dreams, and we deserve
to be included and heard!"
"It is important to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day to help
others see past a diagnosis. I am so much more than Down syndrome,"
said Sean Davis of Houston.
"Raising awareness of important causes and people through OOH
creative is very important to us at OUTFRONT," said Liz Rave, Vice President Marketing at OUTFRONT.
"I am very proud of the partnership between NDSS and OUTFRONT
STUDIOS in creating a campaign that showcases Down syndrome in a
completely different light, by sharing the story of five incredible
individuals. I am confident this work will shift community
perceptions during this important week."
