Biosphere Asia Pacific has received official approval from the
State Environmental Protection Administration of China for the
operation of its new MK-V Biosphere Process System at Chengzhou in
Zhejiang province. Acceptance of the MK-V technology by The State
Environmental Protection Administration of China is a momentous
positive milestone in GEECF's aspirations to become a World Leader
in renewable energy. GEECF's endorsement by the Chinese Government,
a country with one quarter of the World's population, and 378
cities with a population of over two hundred thousand people is a
breakthrough in GEECF's ambition to reduce global warming providing
future generations with a cleaner World. With this endorsement all
378 of these Chinese cities have been given the opportunity to
convert their Municipal Solid Waste to Electricity and other
environmentally acceptable products, meeting with the highest
environmental standards in the USA, the European Union and the
Peoples Republic of China. The Chengzhou MK-V Biosphere Process
System project, which is projected to cost USD$ 12 million will
include a landfill water treatment plant to treat inorganic and
organic contaminants in ground water, landfill-gas condensate, and
water from other incidental sources to a potable standard. The
system will also include an ash treatment facility for the
treatment and conditioning of the residual pulverized fuel ash
prior to its use in the construction industry. The complete
facility is being sited at the Liu Jia Ao landfill in Chengzhou and
is designed to process 400 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day.
Three biosphere flake production lines are being installed to feed
the systems, which in turn will power steam boilers driving
turbine-generators. Biosphere Asia Pacific, own 51% of the
Chengzhou project, revenue will be derived from initial system
sales, maintenance contracts and Biosphere's participation in the
operating profits. Additional ongoing projected revenues received
from tipping fees and the sale of electricity generated are
estimated to be USD$ 4.32 million per year. The project is 100%
financed by International Environmental Energy Corp and Biosphere
